How to import website cookies

If you want to download images or videos from websites that require login credentials, you must first import cookies from your web browser into the application. You also need to import cookies if you download images from Imagefap and need to solve CAPTCHA protection.

  • Install the web browser extension EditThisCookie add-on. Right now we support cookie export (in JSON format) only from this extension, but in the future, we will implement own extension with automatic cookie synchronization.

  • Now please check that the extension is configured to export cookies to JSON format:  click on the extension icon (number 1 on the picture below) in your web browser and then on the "Options" button (number 2 on the picture below).

  • Then check that the parameter "Choose the preferred export format for cookies" is set to JSON.

  • Visit your favorite website (for example instagram.com). Click on the extension icon (number 1 on the picture below) in your web browser and then on the "Export" button (number 2 on the picture below). Now are all cookies copied to a system clipboard.

  • Open Web Gallery Downloader and click on the "Cookies" tab and then on the "Import from clipboard" button.

  • That is all. Now are all cookies imported to the application and you can see them in the cookies table.
